FAVOURITES | make up w/ swatches.

hey lovelies!
As you know if you've seen my last update post, I have been away for a good couple of months now. So I have lots of current favourites coming up! This is solely make up based, I also have a current beauty favourites coming in 2 weeks! I'll just get right into it because this is quite a lengthy post...

1. My number one favourite drugstore foundation of all time!! Loreal true match in the shade N8.
This has literally been my saviour. I bought this last august and I've used it every single day (that I've worn makeup) since. I'm still on my first bottle because you only need two pumps for your whole face. Although it is running out and I've already got my back up bottle. The lid gets really dirty as you could see but the foundation itself is heavenly. It has medium coverage, long lasting staying power and it's relatively inexpensive!

You can purchase it from boots for £9.99, here.

2. Rimmel scandaleyes.
As you can see from the swatch below this is absolutely beautiful! It acts as a great base and it can be built up or blended out into a everyday shade. The main properties that I love about this eyeshadow stick is the way it dries and it literally will not budge all night. I used to love the maybelline colour tattoo (which I still adore) but that can be smudged; whereas this stays in place.

I'm so sorry to say that I cannot find the link as I don't think they're available anymore. I bought it off fragrance direct at the time.

3. One of the best make up products I've ever been gifted! No7 Lovely lashes mascara.
I received this for christmas off my nanna. It's in a gorgeous sleek purple packaging. The wand is my favourite, it has a spiral bristel application. The mascara claims to add glossy natural volume and it's also enriched with Argan oil to help nourish your lashes. But its great for separation and length aswell! See the following pictures of me wearing it.

It is quite pricey but with a no.7 voucher, it's definitely worth the price. You can buy it from boots here for £12.95.

4. Maybelline: the eye eraser.
I will never ever ever change concealors. This gets rid of my dark circles and brights my undereyes... making me look super awake for my 9am lecture's. I love the sponge at the top for application, although I do realise it's not the most hygienic. However, its only me using it. I just apply this under the eyes in a triangle (like a Kim K look) and it blends perfectly. I wouldn't advise using this on spots/blemishes though. The fact that you can twist it so that you can see how much product is left; is my favourite feature.

You can buy it on the boots website for £7.99.

5. The cheapest of them all! MUA matte eyeshadow in Smoke.
For YEARS (literally) I have been looking for a low budget intensely striking black and i've finally found it. For just £1(!!!!!) this is extremely extremely dark. It's great for a intense smokey eye. It's buttery and blends beautifully but if you add a bit of mac's fix plus or just pack it on your brush... it deepens (if that's even possible). Bargain of the year!

You can buy it from superdrug for £1:-)

NAILS | #2 and update.

Hello beauty lovers!

I'm finally back after my almost 2 week break! I have a confession, I did explain that I was taking a break to revise and prepare for college. However I did neither of them things as I ultimately realised how much I missed being a sloth after finishing blogmas on Christmas day. So I have had a lovely relaxing break where I slept, ate, slept, slept some more and ate etc. (Don't worry my exams don't start till May). But when I came back to my blog I was absolutely blown away when I realised that I now have 650 followers! I want to say a HUGE thank you to all my new followers and to all the followers that have stuck around! I will be doing a giveaway in a months time, so stay tuned. Anyway, on to the nails...

You can buy it for £3.69 here.

As you might have been able to tell in my recent OTN's (another coming next week) I have been going out A LOT more. Which sometimes means putting in a little bit more effort. So I chose this beautiful nail polish from the Rimmel 60 Seconds line in the colour '430 coralicious'. It's a beautiful coral colour and it actually did only take 60 seconds to dry!! I loved the glossy finish to the nail polish however it chipped like no-one's business.

This weeks schedule:
Tuesdays post: Nails.
Fridays post: Life in pictures.
Sundays post: Current beauty favourites.

BEST OF 2013 | beauty products.

hello girlies!
happy blogmas day 23:-)

I can't believe its this close to Christmas?! So today, I thought I'd do a very exciting post by doing my ultimate favourite products for 2013. This was very hard for me because I've tried so many new products this year that I've absolutely loved but I decided to do two items per section.
Have you got any stand out products for 2013?

Left side
Right side
Perfume
Shower and bath
Lady one million: This is my favourite perfume by far which was bought by my boyfriend (thank you!) I’m awful with smell but it’s definitely a ‘sexy’ fragrance that makes you feel a million dollars and the packaging is beautiful!
Avon Bergamot, Peppermint & Sandalwood shower gel for men: I don't even like the smell of peppermint but this is one of the BEST smells I have ever smelt and it lingers on your body for most of the day. This is by far my favourite shower gel.
Tommy Hilfiger girl: This is my second favourite fragrance which is close to lady one million. It’s a mature fruity scent that I absolutely adore and again, I love the simple packaging.
Soap and glory flake away: This smells divine! It can take away any discolouration in your skin and the smell lasts almost all day. It has big chunky particles in it so you can definitely feel it working.
Eye make up
Loose eye shadows
17 Smokey eye palette: This is a green make up palette that I didn’t think I’d like but the colours are very wearable. The palette also has numbers indented in the shades and can with a leaflet to show you how to create different looks which is great for beginners.
MAC in ‘Patina’: This is a lovely highlight colour which is a golden smooth shimmer that makes any eye colour pop out. I love the compact size of a loose eye shadow and it’s great for people that have a mac palette to keep them all together once de-potted.
Rimmel day 2 night mascara: This is definitely my holy grail product that I will repurchase for years to come. It gives such length AND volume; which I’ll show in tomorrow’s new year’s eve eye make-up tutorial.
Maybelline colour tattoo: On and on bronze is a product that has been raved bout in the blogging community but I definitely think it’s worth the hype. As you can clearly see it’s a beautiful colour, for a base or all over the lid.
Lips
Face
Taxi: This is my absolute favourite lip gloss as it is SO minty that it smells like you have stuck polo mints to your lips. It’s a beautiful nude shade and It’s so convenient as it has a mirror and a light which is great for nights out.
No7 hot cloth cleanser: I’ve definitely done my fair share of raving for this product as it is definitely my miracle product (along with Sudocrem which I’ve lost so I couldn’t include) to get rid of them pesky spots.
Max factor: I have a whole blog post including pictures here but I love this as my ‘your lips but better’ shade and oddly I love the simple packaging that it provides.
Phyderma face enhancer: I absolutely love this product! It’s a liquid based highlighter that you can use all over the face, I use this before my foundation but you can be very versatile with this and use it after foundation.
Haircare
Overview
Vo5 Extreme style sea salt spray: I loved this product in the summer as I didn’t need to apply heat. I’d just spray a couple squirts of this into my hair and it would provide me with effortless waves.

Tresemme heat defence spray: This is another holy grail product that I have definitely noticed a difference since using it. My hair has become much healthier and I now always wonder why I never used a heat defence spray before?!

Hope you enjoyed this post. See you tomorrow for a new years eve eye make up tutorial.

ESSENTIALS | eye make up.

hello everyone!
happy blog mas day 12:-)

Since my base make up essentials post was so popular, I decided to do my eye make up essentials and then I will do my eyebrow routine essentials on Sunday which will conclude this mini series. So hopefully you're enjoying it:-) if not, then there will be an OOTN tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Eye shadow
I typically opt for the Maybelline colour tattoo in on and on bronze, which I've featured many times on my blog. I love the convenience of a cream shadow and it is very versatile as I use it for my every day routine (which is shown above) and I also use it for my base for a night out (tutorial coming in 2 weeks time).

Blue eyeliner
I personally think blue eyeliner goes perfectly with dark eyes, so I use this on my water line to give my eyes a pop of colour! I have a really in depth post on this with swatches and the price which you can see:

Mascara
This is definitely a holy grail product as you can ask anyone that knows me, I have been known to go all the way home if I haven't brought my mascara in my coat pocket. Wow, I didn't realise how obsessive that makes me sound ha. But seriously... mascara helps me look human, so if I'm desperate I'll go out with just mascara on. This mascara in particular gives me length and volume and at such a great price!

Black eyeliner
I use this eyeliner for the top lash line to create a winged eye effect. Although I didn't like this at first, I think the product needs to dry out a little and then it's life power becomes much greater! I absolutely love this eyeliner and it's so convenient with the brush being in the packaging.
Couldn't find a link sorry.

BIRTHDAY WISHLIST | 2013.

  hello bloggers!

Although most people are starting their Christmas themed blog posts (which makes me ever so excited), I am yet to start as it's my birthday on the 28th of November, but don't worry because I am planning on doing blog-mas (which is a blog post a day in the month of December, so I will be making Christmas themed posts). But don't hold me to it, because its not a firm decision yet!

Anyway, as you see I have created a birthday wish list which is a burgundy and pink theme which I didn't intend in the beginning but then I decided to embrace my feminine side. Although I don't expect all of these things for my birthday or even at all for that matter, I'm going to be doing one more wish list with more neutral colours soon as I'll also look at these as my Christmas wish lists.

1. FUN bar by lush - pink (out of all the products on this wish list, I REALLY want this which is strange because its the cheapest on my list ha ha)
2. Soap and glory - bright and bubbly gift set.
3. Day 2 night mascara in black.
4. Burgundy skater skirt.
5. Boots beauty advent calendar.
6. Burgundy all star converse.
£44.99.

Is there any other beauty advent calendars that you would recommend?
