TUTORIAL | simple golden eyes.

hello everyone!
happy blogmas day 24:-)

As requested by Kerry Louise on my 100 bloglovin' followers giveaway, I have a Christmas themed (gold counts, right?!) make up post. I'm not the most beauty orientated but I thought I'd give it a go! It's great practice for tomorrow anyway:-) can you tell how excited I am!?

I've tried to show a before the eye make up picture and an after the eye make up to show the difference it adds.

I used:
No7 10 Wheatsheaf all over the lid, Maybelline colour tattoo in 'on and on bronze' over the top and MAC patina to blend the colours together. Then added my normal eye liner which you can see in my eye make up essentials post.

I hope this post is satisfactory as I've been busy today with it being Christmas eve getting my last minute Christmas presents and Christmas food shopping (the best part!).

See you tomorrow for my final blogmas post which will be a Christmas day OOTD

BEST OF 2013 | beauty products.

hello girlies!
happy blogmas day 23:-)

I can't believe its this close to Christmas?! So today, I thought I'd do a very exciting post by doing my ultimate favourite products for 2013. This was very hard for me because I've tried so many new products this year that I've absolutely loved but I decided to do two items per section.
Have you got any stand out products for 2013?

Left side
Right side
Perfume
Shower and bath
Lady one million: This is my favourite perfume by far which was bought by my boyfriend (thank you!) I’m awful with smell but it’s definitely a ‘sexy’ fragrance that makes you feel a million dollars and the packaging is beautiful!
Avon Bergamot, Peppermint & Sandalwood shower gel for men: I don't even like the smell of peppermint but this is one of the BEST smells I have ever smelt and it lingers on your body for most of the day. This is by far my favourite shower gel.
Tommy Hilfiger girl: This is my second favourite fragrance which is close to lady one million. It’s a mature fruity scent that I absolutely adore and again, I love the simple packaging.
Soap and glory flake away: This smells divine! It can take away any discolouration in your skin and the smell lasts almost all day. It has big chunky particles in it so you can definitely feel it working.
Eye make up
Loose eye shadows
17 Smokey eye palette: This is a green make up palette that I didn’t think I’d like but the colours are very wearable. The palette also has numbers indented in the shades and can with a leaflet to show you how to create different looks which is great for beginners.
MAC in ‘Patina’: This is a lovely highlight colour which is a golden smooth shimmer that makes any eye colour pop out. I love the compact size of a loose eye shadow and it’s great for people that have a mac palette to keep them all together once de-potted.
Rimmel day 2 night mascara: This is definitely my holy grail product that I will repurchase for years to come. It gives such length AND volume; which I’ll show in tomorrow’s new year’s eve eye make-up tutorial.
Maybelline colour tattoo: On and on bronze is a product that has been raved bout in the blogging community but I definitely think it’s worth the hype. As you can clearly see it’s a beautiful colour, for a base or all over the lid.
Lips
Face
Taxi: This is my absolute favourite lip gloss as it is SO minty that it smells like you have stuck polo mints to your lips. It’s a beautiful nude shade and It’s so convenient as it has a mirror and a light which is great for nights out.
No7 hot cloth cleanser: I’ve definitely done my fair share of raving for this product as it is definitely my miracle product (along with Sudocrem which I’ve lost so I couldn’t include) to get rid of them pesky spots.
Max factor: I have a whole blog post including pictures here but I love this as my ‘your lips but better’ shade and oddly I love the simple packaging that it provides.
Phyderma face enhancer: I absolutely love this product! It’s a liquid based highlighter that you can use all over the face, I use this before my foundation but you can be very versatile with this and use it after foundation.
Haircare
Overview
Vo5 Extreme style sea salt spray: I loved this product in the summer as I didn’t need to apply heat. I’d just spray a couple squirts of this into my hair and it would provide me with effortless waves.

Tresemme heat defence spray: This is another holy grail product that I have definitely noticed a difference since using it. My hair has become much healthier and I now always wonder why I never used a heat defence spray before?!

Hope you enjoyed this post. See you tomorrow for a new years eve eye make up tutorial.

ESSENTIALS | eye make up.

hello everyone!
happy blog mas day 12:-)

Since my base make up essentials post was so popular, I decided to do my eye make up essentials and then I will do my eyebrow routine essentials on Sunday which will conclude this mini series. So hopefully you're enjoying it:-) if not, then there will be an OOTN tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Eye shadow
I typically opt for the Maybelline colour tattoo in on and on bronze, which I've featured many times on my blog. I love the convenience of a cream shadow and it is very versatile as I use it for my every day routine (which is shown above) and I also use it for my base for a night out (tutorial coming in 2 weeks time).

Blue eyeliner
I personally think blue eyeliner goes perfectly with dark eyes, so I use this on my water line to give my eyes a pop of colour! I have a really in depth post on this with swatches and the price which you can see:

Mascara
This is definitely a holy grail product as you can ask anyone that knows me, I have been known to go all the way home if I haven't brought my mascara in my coat pocket. Wow, I didn't realise how obsessive that makes me sound ha. But seriously... mascara helps me look human, so if I'm desperate I'll go out with just mascara on. This mascara in particular gives me length and volume and at such a great price!

Black eyeliner
I use this eyeliner for the top lash line to create a winged eye effect. Although I didn't like this at first, I think the product needs to dry out a little and then it's life power becomes much greater! I absolutely love this eyeliner and it's so convenient with the brush being in the packaging.
Couldn't find a link sorry.

FAVOURITES | november.

Hiya everyone!
Happy blog mas day 4:-)

Here are my November favourites which I've tried to make all festive with the Christmas themed wrapping paper; as I doubt I'll be doing December favourites as I'm going to be taking a blogging break after blogmas. To give me time to revise... I know, it makes me sad already but don't worry it's only going to be a two week break. So, I'll be back before you know it. Anyway... on with the favourites!

1.Back clutch from Accessorize.
This is a sneak peek of what I was given for my birthday as this is a gift I received and I've used it every time since then and since it was my birthday and my friends and I have received some University conditional offers we've been celebrating A LOT (OOTN's to come). Anyway this clutch will be featured in my what I got for my birthday post next week, so I'll go into detail then but this is my absolute new favourite bag and my friend Laura did a great job! (thank you:-)) I know it was £25 because she cheekily left the price tag on just in case I didn't like it, but unfortunately I couldn't find it on the online site.

2. Tommy Hilfiger perfume.
This is an all time favourite that always seems to come out at the winter time and its running a bit low so that's definitely something I'm going to pick up in the Boxing day sales. "Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl is a sporty, fresh fragrance combining apple blossom and camellia with black currant with citrus tones."

Buy it here from Fragrance direct it says that It's cheaper from the Perfume shop but the packaging is different so I'm unsure if it's the same.

3. Head and shoulders anti dandruff shampoo.
It leaves a tingling feeling as it is described as a 'cool menthol' shampoo and once its rinsed out, it makes my hair feel squeaky clean. It makes my hair feel extra soft and I got many compliments about the smell as it made it feel very fresh!

4. Colour tattoo.
I've done a blog post with swatches here but I'm sure you've seen it before as it has been very popular in the blogging community. When I first purchased this item I thought it was a waste of money but every day since I've used it as it's such a beautiful shimmery champagne colour that could be used as a base or a colour on its own. Don't worry, there will be a tutorial with this product soon! But it may be closer to Christmas, so you'll have to wait a bit. It's such a beautiful colour for Christmas and it lasts for 24 hours.

Buy it here from Boots for £4.99.

5. Peppermint kiss hand wash.
I bet you're thinking that this is some expensive hand soap from Bath and Body works because the amazing Christmassy packaging really does make you think that way. Unfortunately, I lost the bug silver bow that came with it but it made it look extra special. I bet you're also thinking 'but I thought you didn't like Peppermint?!'... either did I! I guess its because it's a hand soap and I can tolerate it as it makes your hands smell extra fresh. The smell is amazing and for just £1 (!!!) from Pound land this amazing soap that leaves your hands moisturized afterwards is definitely worth investing in.

See you tomorrow for a men's gift guide
